My name is Gwen and I've been a Sparker since 2007. It's only been in the more recent years that I've taken advantage of all the benefits offered by Spark People.

I have been on some sort of diet/eating plan since I was 13 years old. You'd think by now I'd have it figured out. I know what to do....just gotta do it. A few years ago, I ALMOST reached goal and became complacent. Don't let this happen to you! Now I'm really back at square one as I did not take advantage of staying on track during the summer break.

My Goals:
Goals & Commitments Are As Follows:

1. Make exercise a part of my life EVERY DAY with NO EXCUSES!!
2. Log in daily for 1 year
3. I will track food/water daily
4. Get at least 6 hours of sleep each night (instead of the 3-5 hrs I currently get)
5. Reach 5% goal by end of challenge
6. Lose 20 pounds by my birthday Feb 27




My Program:
1. Cardio 60 min a day at least 4 days a week.
2. Cardio 30 min a day at least 3 days a week
3. Strength Training every Mon, Wed, Fri.






Personal Information:
I have been married to my DH for 31 years and have 3 biological children (2 sons and 1 daughter). We will be official empty nesters when our youngest son graduates from college this December. My middle son has a 2-1/2 year old daughter and a 9 month old son who have stolen my heart. I just have to figure out a way to see them more often as work schedules (mine and theirs) don't line up enough. I am a drug dealer (legal as a pharmacist) and as a manager have long hours on the days I work. Having said that, getting in the exercise is sometimes a problem but I know where there is a will there is a way.

I enjoy reading, crossword puzzles, brain games, hiking and Zumba.
