Hi! I'm Janey. My purpose here is to share about the positive direction my life is taking through good nutrition and exercise. I have always been passionate about saving money around the house, especially when feeding my family. I hope you will enjoy sharing some of the best things I have learned on my journey!

My vision is to be a great example of heart healthy living.

I love that my DH and I enjoy exercising together. I continue to add running events to my fitness schedule.

I thank SP daily for what we have accomplished nutritionally. The changes we are making are adding quality and happiness to our lives. Who knew that eating healthy and exercising could be so fun?!!

My main Health goal has been to focus on my own choices and quietly go about my wellness business.

The true joy in my Spark Journey has been every time a family member or friend asks about healthy choices for thier own lives.

I'm sorry I haven't been as encouraging as I should - I have suffered a case of "the doldrums" and am hoping it will pass soon .

No rhyme or reason - it just hits me sometimes. I have been tracking and logging since Jan 1 and I think it is just getting to me.

I will be back! This you can bank on!!

Try for 1 lb per week - better chance of keeping it off. I didn't plan to lose so much last week and it set me back on my butt with binges. ONE day at a time & "this too shall pass!"

huggers,
linda

Hi Janey, thank you for the sparkgift.
I'm a little late on the replies since it's been an interesting few days / weeks.
My dog is still around, he actually looks quite similar to your Golden that you have in your Sparkpage picture! I am struggling with when to take "that decision" and it's eating away at me. I dont believe that he is suffering, as he is still jumping in and out of my car, on and off the bed or couch.. he is cuddling and walking around from room to room... just the lumps are scary, the look in his eyes isnt comfortable, and now he just stopped being able to chew, so I've been blending meats and rice and buying canned wet food. If it was a human, I was suspect a stroke... but I cant diagnose dogs, which is probably a good thing. Gosh I love him so much :(
So that's where we are. he had fantastic days on the weekend, dragged me out for a 20 minute walk, when only friday he was barely moving. My boyfriend (jokingly) calls him a faker... and they didnt take lightly when I sauteed tofu and frozen greens for the family and the doggie got beef and rice and chicken soup... haha
thank you for the support, i definitely need it :) hug those puppies dearly!
