Hi! I'm Janey. My purpose here is to blog about the positive new direction my life is taking through good nutrition and exercise. I have always been passionate about saving money around the house, especially when feeding my family. I hope you will enjoy sharing some of the best things I have learned on my journey! My vision is to be a great example of heart healthy living. I want to be the healthiest I've ever been at 55 years young, February 2013. I love that Dave and I enjoy exercising together. I look forward to adding running events to my fitness schedule, later this spring. Jumping with joy, as I look forward. My short term goal is to reach my goal weight by 3/29/13. My last "bag of potato" weight, has been with me now for a good 15 years. This is it! Time to go. I will be 135 at 55! I am so thankful to SP for what we have accomplished nutritionally this past year. Who knew that eating healthy could be so fun?!!

My Goals:
Eat Heart Healthy Be a Good example of healthy living to others Attain my goal weight by 3/29/13. Continue to increase my daily physical activity to maintain great health
My Program:
Currently a member of the Winter 5% challenge. I am a SUDS team member ~ a loyal Dawggie!!! During the eight week challenge; My Diet: Paleo style diet, tracked daily on SP, staying within 1200-1550 calorie range. My exercise: Three 30 minute strength training sessions per week. Burn a minimum of 2000 calories through 300 cardio fitness minutes each week. My strategy for this winter challenge is to stay connected to my SUDS team on a daily basis, stay in calorie range and move it!
Personal Information:
I live in the Wild West part of our Beautiful state of Oregon, which happens to be on the east side of the state. I always wanted to live in a barn and now I do. I am happily married to Dave, my best friend. Our blended family includes four children, 11 grandchildren (each so successful in their endeavors), four dogs (i know) and one cat. Our dear Aunt Vera also lives with us. She is a healthy 91 years of age.
Other Information:
Dave and I love to boat and ride bikes. I love to garden.
