My freshman yr of college, I lost the Freshman 15 instead of gaining it by walking to class from my dorm & not being impressed w/ the cafeteria food. I weighed about 145. I felt really good about myself & looked my best ever, but in May 2003 I got pregnant & that sabotaged my weight loss efforts. I gained about 25 lbs during my pregnancy that I never lost, & then I gained 20 more a few years later by eating a lot of fast food while doing nothing but sitting on the couch. I was in a bad relationship for over a yr with a toxic guy who wasn't at all interested in being happy or healthy, & I let him bring me down. We sat around all the time & almost every meal came from a drive-thru. I ballooned up to 196 lbs. I finally dumped him in May 2007 & that summer I lost 16 lbs by cutting out fast food & working out 3 or so times a wk. That Sept I met a guy I used to know back in high school & we started dating. (He is very supportive & actually cares about being healthy. We've now been together over 6 yrs!) I lost 10 more lbs by Nov & then got distracted from my goals by work, school, & spending time w/ my daughter, boyfriend, & friends. I have slowly crept back up to the 180's. I'm glad to at least have maintained some of what I lost. I've decided it's time to jump back on the bandwagon & finish taking off the rest of this weight. I want to be down to 140ish by Summer 2014 when we move to Colorado. I want to have the energy to be who I am & be comfortable with my body. It's time to kick my weight problem once & for all!

Hey! Sorry to hear about your ankle. I haven't been on here in so long....and it shows. Fell off the wagon big time, but I'm ready to pick myself up and crawl back on. Got some friends at work on board with me and my boyfriend and I had a big talk about it last night too.

Starting back slowly but surely but I'll get there! I hope school is going well for you and we will definitely have to meet up when you get back!

Aaaw, thanks for the pic comment ! Thank you so much ! I did feel pretty good that day! I see you're @ the same weight I started at when I joined SP. It's been about 6 months and I've lost 20+ lbs. I've committed and strayed a couple time (obviously) but I'm damn proud if my progress. I wish you all the luck in the world in your journey and never take your support system for granted. (I'm so jealous that your boyfriend is on the healthy bandwagon too! Want to convince mine??? PLease!!) Hopefully I'll see you on the message boards !
