Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
I am tired of the cycle of trying to lose weight, failing, binging, and then having to start all the way back at zero feeling horrible about myself. I have a fiance who loves me and thinks I'm sexy no matter what I weigh, and I'm determined to improve my self-image so I can see myself the way he sees me. I bought The Spark to help me really find ways to change, and this time, instead of just focusing on losing weight, I want to focus on feeling better and improving my attitude along with it. I'm tired of the yo-yos, both physically and emotionally, and while I know it won't be easy, and I'll have good days and bad, I really want to stick with it this time and break the cycle!
I want to lose 75 pounds, but more than that, I want to feel as sexy as my husband sees me when he looks at me!
I'm sticking with the SparkPeople recommended ranges, and for now, I'm focusing on tracking everything I eat every day.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. When I first joined SP I didn't use the message boards or make friends. Today, I can truly say that I now understand what it is all about. When you just feel like "blah" someone else understands and gives you that boost that you need. You don't know where its coming from or when it's going to come, but it just magically comes right on time.
I love you guys!!!!

Just wanted to stop by with a line of encouragement and to let you know that you are not in it alone. You and I have similar goals. We can make this journey together.

Thanks for the comments on my blog!
Yes, with liposuction, existing fat cells are ripped viciously from the body. This is the reason for the underlying dangers of liposuction, these fat cells that are being sucked out...they are living breathing cells, with blood vessels running to them, etc. Ripping them away tears away those blood vessels/tissues, i.e. it's a lot of damage to the body.
But to your question, yes after liposuction your body can definitely make NEW fat cells to fill with fat. For this reason, a person considering liposuction should still consider making the nutrition/fitness lifestyle changes necessary to prevent what got them to needing liposuction in the first place.
But alas, as one friend told me, "I can get liposuction now and lose the weight overnight, go back to eating like I want to and not have to exercise. Then if I need to, I can get liposuction AGAIN in another 10-15 yrs , after all, I didn't gain all this weight overnight!!!"
Each to their own, right?
