"He must become greater, I must become less."
John 3:30 (NIV)
There's just no other way around it, no other way to define it. If my desire is to be a true follower of Christ, then ALL areas of my life He must become greater & greater, I must become less & less. More God = less me.
This, truly, is a lifetime journey, praising God — no matter the circumstances — every step of the way.
In 2007, using the tools & support on SP, I lost 45-lbs. I have since put on some of that weight, but PTL not all of it. I am recommitting to renewed health — spiritually, physically, & mentally.
My FIRST weight-loss goal is to lose between 25-50 lbs [1-2 lbs a week] by July 2, 2013. That is the date my oldest daughter is getting married. Very exciting times!!
******JULY 2, 2013******
I will THEN continually aim to lose 10% of my weight at a time until I'm down to a healthy BMI [I'm 5'7.5"] AND Waist-to-Hip Ratio.
Once I achieve a healthy goal weight, I will CONTINUE to concentrate on toning and, of course, maintaining.
THROUGHOUT this process, one of my biggest goals — and MOST IMPORTANT — is to see/love myself the way God does. Praise God for His grace, love, mercy & just ways!!

Hi, how are you? It's been a long time since we heard from you on our board (do you believe I can never remember the name of it!). There are not many left now, Faye , Cris and I and one lady you might not know, Darlys. Oh, and Ann. That's about it. I've lost weight in fits and starts, the total over the many years is now 150lbs gone...thank the Lord. He's been so good to me, and I don't deserve it. Come back and visit sometime.

“Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life’” ~ John 8:12, NASB.
John 8:12 is the passage God has given me as a life-goal for 2015. As I seek Him for a New Year’s BLESSing for you, it seems good to pray that you will have all the Light needed for the path ahead, dispelling all darkness, and giving you the light of day for each step ahead. Happy 2015!

I give thanks to God, the Father, for you as I pray for you today. May you know by experience God’s grace, spiritual favor and BLESSing today and every day, having heart peace from God the Eternal Father – that peaceful state of trust in Him to which He calls us; that soul harmony with Him that umpires life choices, heart desires, and questions of the mind. May He settle us with faith to trust Him. Have a BLESSed Thanksgiving, rested in Father. Loving you in Christ, Darlene.

Worry over the future breeds anxiety. Fretting over the past breeds depression. Both can stop our good movement forward and put us in front of the TV with a bad movie and too much of the stuff we don’t need to put into our bodies. That horrid cycle, of course, breeds regret and dread that brings us to more of the same. I believe that is called “insanity”.
Instead work to stay in the present taking the next step needed for living to the full the “now” that is before you, having learned better ways from past experience and pushing forward with hope that right action now will produce a better tomorrow. This is living life with power that produces a good outcome and protects our journey from wasting away.
Plan for the future, yes; but let the first plan be to live your best you in the now you have to possess.
