January 1, 2013. Last year I got down to my goal weight and then put all the weight back on again. Easy come, easy go. Or should I say Easy go, even easier come back on. My goal this year is to take it off and keep it off. In March 2012 I went to three self hypnosis classes to control my eating. It is June 5th and I have lost 12 pounds. The surprising thing is that it has been easy to control my uncontrollable need to eat. I was eating even when I was so full it hurt. Now, although, I still enjoy food, I don't need it. I think I can do this now. December 2, 2011 Starting over. I can do this. I will. August 10, 2011 I am having a horrible time with motivation. I know what I need to do, but it is so hard. I turned 60 last month and I just can't help thinking 60 is old and I need to just relax and enjoy life. So what if I am a little overweight. I am old. I deserve it! Oh No. It is that thinking that is causing me so much problems with healthy eating and exercise. How, oh how, can I turn my thinking around????? September 13, 2010 10 months on Spark people. I am staying under 120 for a month now. But I have to remember to still track food, exercise, and weigh myself. I am still working on 115, but I am very happy where I am now. June 21, 2010 Seven months on spark people and I have lost almost 30 pounds with the support of my sparkfriends, the food tracker and my fitness page. I use the spark videos on line and have a couple of spark DVD to help get me back in shape. I am close to my goal weight and this is getting harder. I want to eat everything. But I plan to stick with it. I am not going to give up because I have a "I have to eat everything in sight day." I have been on Spark people for almost two months now. I love it here. Everysone is so supportive. Lots of good information. I can't believe how tracking your food can really make a difference. I also find the reports to be very informative. My reason for wanting a healthy lifestyle is for my grandbaby. I want to be able to get down on the floor with her. I want to play ball with her when she is older. Then maybe even go rollerblading with her in a few years. I love being a grandma and I want to be a grandma for a long time.

My Goals:
To be comfortable in a swimsui this summer. I want to start a tradition with my first grandbaby (and any others to come) of going to the beach each summer with grandma. Now that I am 60, it is ok to be a bit overweight and still be acceptable in a swimsuit. After all the body is not what it used to be.
My Program:
Cardio 6 times a week. Stretching each morning. weights 3x a week. Track food eaten. This is the key. To track even the days that I fall off the wagon.
Other Information:
After keeping my weight off for a year, I am backtracking. I don't know how to stop this.
