Come on girl, you know you can do it!
Despite my weigh ins, tracking, blogs, and exercise attempts, I'm still bobbing around like a cork on the ocean. Some days I've lost weight, some days my weight is up. I haven't made the progress I had hoped, and that may be due to the lack of my buy-in to the task at hand. I'm reading a lot about cognitive therapy, affirming my commitment 2 times daily, logging nutrition, and setting fitness goals that are challenging but that I KNOW I can achieve. I love the ...

I love the community of Spark People. Together we can accomplish so much more than we can as individuals. I have been a member for quite a while, and I am thankful for the relationships with people who are real life inspirations to me - DAILY! So, I'm going to keep it simple - stay focused, eat healthy, forgive myself for screwing up and for making myself feel like a failure...and I will persist. This is not a sprint, but a marathon. By December (2012) I hope I will have restored my credibility and my normal sized waistline.

My Goals:
Weigh 160 by 12/31/12. Make sure to exercise 5 out of 7 days each week. Eat nutritious food and track what I eat. Train for 3 Rivers Run 5K on 10/13/12 Look for local 5K for November.... Run a half marathon in March 2013. Lose some of this FLUBBER so I can be slim and fast(er) anyway! Faster, not Fatter!! .....dare I shoot for a full marathon by age 60???
My Program:
My past 3 years have been a series of achievements and starting over. Multiple operations to "fix" one from 2008 were not serious but stopped my activity for months. I want to run a half marathon in the Spring of 2013, so that means that I have to start NOW building muscle and working on functional movement.
