I got a good deal on chicken breasts and bacon yesterday. I got $30 worth of meat and put it in the freezer section of the fridge in the basement. We will have it on hand when it doesn't seem like there are any good sales in the paper. 3 days ago
I ate a lot of bread and sweets over the years and with this way of eating, bread is off the list. It is hard, it really is, not to want toast with eggs, sandwiches, and the like. But for the first time in a long time, I have found something that is free that takes off the pounds. The last thing that worked so effectively, was cabbage soup, but you had to cut out foods on different days and it was hard to keep up to the diet unless I wrote it all on a calendar.
Butter Bob's chili recipe made 7 quarts of chili. We sent some home tonight with our son's fiancee and filled a jar full and froze it. The video is online and at the end of it, Butter Bob has the recipe on a chalkboard in his kitchen. I paused the video while I wrote down the recipe. Within two hours after eating two bowls of it, my blood glucose was in the 150's which was very good. There is no nutrition information with the recipe. I couldn't find the Rotel brand of canned tomatoes, but they must have less carbohydrates than other brands.
I didn't have the grilled cheese sandwich tonight with my chili and neither did Kate; she is dieting to get into her wedding dress. It fits now, but I understand wanting to lose more weight before the wedding.
