First day of the great Sparks adventure

I am a 51-yr old mother of 2. My goal is to reach a healthy weight where I can feel better about myself and eventually get my 'new' diabetes under control. I have been working on this for almost a year now, but I'm hoping that this plan will help me to keep better track of how I am doing and where I can improve. I'm looking forward to meeting you all.

It took me 20 days to drop 2 pounds ! I was ready to pack it all in, when i tried some old clothing on and saw it fit. I hadn't dropped weight, but I did take off inches. We have to break away from that old way of thinking. This is about getting healthy, getting energy and living our lives to the fullest. I get obsessed with the scale. WHY, why, why? emoticon
