Retaking Me

It's time again to reassess. I am, once again, what I consider semi-employed. I'm subbing. If/When they call, I have a job...for a day...or half of one. I never know what kind of group I'll get, what the classroom will look like, what kind of community the teacher has built before I get there.
I have little to no control there.
Hubby still works 3 hours drive away so he lives there during the week and comes up MOST weekends. Outside of that I'm single-momming it with the 9 ...

Hubby still works 3 hours drive away so he lives there during the week and comes up MOST weekends. Outside of that I'm single-momming it with the 9 year old and learning what I can and cannot do without him present and learning how much long-distance I can handle in my relationship.
He cannot retire until at least 2016.
Again, little I can control in that situation.
As such, I need to start taking control where I DO have it. That means stepping up and making myself use the days I don't have a job to move forward on my health, my artwork, and my home.
Consistency is still hard and I don't yet know how Spark is going to fit into this but it'll be there.

My Goals:
Running and training to race again!

Feel like whatever this "single mom during the week" situation asks of me, I can handle it!

Mental Health: Feel strong in my relationships and have more of them again.

My Program:
Consistent exercise and water.

Fiber up. Salt down.


Fit regular strength exercise back into my life.

Make time to do things with the hubby when he's here that do not just involve property maintenance. Take him (and his beloved camera) hiking. Go mii-golphing as a family.

5 Half Marathons complete.
1 Marathon complete.

Thanks for the note Franc! I'm not really active here anymore. I'm trying not to spend as much time on all the various social media and like sites. I check out FB and I log my food on a phone app but that's about it. :)

Each day we realize what is important.. but sometimes we overlook ourselves...
Best thing we can do is look in the mirror each day and say.. " I am important.. each and every day"~ Because we are.. we just need to remind ourselves...
