RUN HAPPY!!!

I guess it is time for me to update my page. Especially since it isn't 2012 anymore. It's another year and I am still here...but that is a great thing! It means that I am still moving forward and refusing to turn back. I have come so far in the past few of years, while I haven't made goal weight I am so happy with the results so far. And I have did a little back sliding and had some weight gain but I know that if I keep pushing forward I will get where I want to be.

And I have did a little back sliding and had some weight gain but I know that if I keep pushing forward I will get where I want to be.

It hasn't been easy I have had set backs and am still struggling with food, I guess food will always be my frenemy. I realize I have an unhealthy relationship with food but I am learning to work around that. I am not willing to give up the foods that I love so I have to learn to eat in moderation but nothing is off limits. If I can watch what I eat 80% of the time I look at it as a positive lifestyle change. I want this to be permanent this time I know that diets don't work for me and I just have to learn to control my eating the best I can with changes that I can live with for the rest of my life.

I have only ran two races since 2012, life got in the way :( But I am going to try and run one race a month this year. With my first one today.

Thanks for your comment regarding the half marathons. I've done two already, but it'll be tough getting back into the groove. I'm only planning on signing up for the "walk" section so that I don't push myself too hard, too fast. I have to kepe my fingers crossed I don't end up sick again, or injured again!

Thanks for your kind words on my blog "The graham cracker dabacle"! I really don't beat myself up in any big way but I was heading that way until I saw it in writing and saw how small of a mistake it was! I really appriciate the fact that you cared enough to tell me not to worry so much about it! I never cut myself off completelyfrom foods which is why the graham crackers are in the house in the first place! I try to eat healthy most of the time but have no "forbidden" foods at all. Just some that aren't as useful calorie wise! Denying myself something I like in the past lead to failure so I don't do that any more. I just try to do things in moderation! Thanks again!
