I started off slow on Sparkpeople, reading articles and exploring. going for the daily bonus spin, & taking care of the basics, such as sleep, while my weight bounced around. Found my Spark and released the majority of my excess fat in 2013.

I started off slow on Sparkpeople, reading articles and exploring. going for the daily bonus spin, & taking care of the basics, such as sleep, while my weight bounced around. Found my Spark and released the majority of my excess fat in 2013.
I had planned to be at goal around mid 2014. That hasn't happened, but it will, and when I get there, I'm sticking around!
I'm not losing the unwanted fat, I am getting rid of it and I have an eating and exercise programme that I can follow happily into maintenance.

To prepare for the post weight loss phase, I have joined some maintenance teams to warm up to what I see as the biggest challenge.

Right now I am spending some effort on renovating my skin and working on a new look. After years of clothes for a fat person, I am now in a different game.

My Goals:
Increase fitness, flexibility & energy. Gain muscle, lose fat. In 2014 my focus is on releasing fat and more weight based exercise.
Doing pretty well so far, this year is the year.

My Program:
Log in every day & go for the bonus spin.
6-9 hours exercise weekly, mostly Zumba & water exercise. Loving my FitBit Flex & aiming for 10,000 'steps' (most of this is water exercise) injury free.
Rocking the Cura Romana to reset my weight and eating patterns in 2014.



Personal Information:
I'm a Kiwi chick, living with my DH in New Zealand. We have cats & chickens. I work part time and I love to garden.

Other Information:
I access Sparkpeople on my old iPad. It's a bit clunky. To do more than the basics, I need to get to another computer, so I don't always reply to messages straight away. Uh, and when I type, the text is tiny, so don't be surprised at some bizarre punctuation & comments, blame predictive text, LOL!

I'm kind of new to the communication on SparkPeople so am not quite sure how or where to respond to you. Yes - on Monday I did 18 loads of laundry beginning around 3:00 AM and finishing around 10:00 PM. (It kind of wiped me out for the rest of the week!) On Tuesday I did what needed ironing from those loads. It was good exercise going up and down the basement stairs!

It was not quite as intense at it may sound - both my sister and my mother passed away and some of this was from their houses. Majority was sheets, pillowcases, tablecloths, mattress pads, table napkins, bedspreads and assorted linens - time-consuming but not real difficult!

Thanks for asking about the Whole30. I actually found out about it through someone on Sparkpeople. I thought it would be hard because it's so restrictive but so far I am not craving anything. I'll blog as soon as I can. I'm thinking this week was probably water weight so I'm anxious to see what next week holds.
