Changing for the Better

People who come to Spark People are looking for a change. Why are you changing and is it for the better? I have always been overweight, never on the ‘thin’ side. I think there is a time in all of our lives where we get tired of being stuck in the same situation. I’m tired of being uncomfortable in my own skin so I’m doing something about it. I can’t remember what the fuel to my spark was but I sure am thankful for it.

My ultimate goal is to lose almost half my weight—300-170 pounds. My Program:
I eat between 1500-1800 calories a day and I burn about 5050 calories a week. Lots of Cardio: 90 minutes of exercise five times a week (walking/power walking/jogging/running) Incorporate jump rope into my schedule Strength training twice a week on non-consecutive days Challenge myself with some ZWOW workouts by Zuzana Light

My name is Sheena. I like to read, write, and listen to music. I have a love for all styles of martial arts. My favorite is Capoeira. I once had a desire to be a sommelier when I became fascinated with Italian cuisine. My profession of choice has changed but my love for wine and all things food related has not. I have wanted to learn how to play the piano since I was a little girl. I’m a full time college student and hope to be a writer in the future. I want to be as passionate about losing weight as I am for writing. I want it to consume me until I’m bursting with enthusiasm.
Other Information:
I believe all things happen for a reason—even the bad; although, those reasons may be lost to us. If we find those reasons, it may better determine how we handle different situations.
