Somebody (me!!) get me off repeat!!! It's Almost February 2014 and I'm still writing the same ol' crap from years past...I am having a good January...ten pounds down...yay me!! I almost feel like if I type out what I'm going to do differently, I'll find a way to negate it, so no resolutions at least nothing too specific. I know better now, so I'm going to do better...that's the extent of my 2014 forecast. May everyone on SP do better this year!!

2013 and still trying to get into the groove of losing this weight and getting healthy. I have to say though that right after Thanksgiving I found a nice sized chunk of my groove.
I had a hysterectomy in October, then started a 30 day Challenge at my gym the Saturday after Thanksgiving a--n--d I did it!! I worked out 30 days in a row! Quite a feat for me...anyone who knows me, knows I'm pretty lame or I should say I WAS pretty lame at committing to working out (I'd say half the time due to health issues, but the other half pure laziness).
I worked out at all crazy times of the day to make sure I completed the Challenge..6:00 am, 10:00 am, 2:00 pm, 8:00 pm. It was slow at first since I was still recovering from surgery, but with the help of a surgical band I was able to workout with little discomfort.
Well now working out is well, working out for me! I feel so much better and I think it has helped speed up my recovery, although I'm still a little sore.
My next task is to conquer my relationship with food, primarily sugar!!! Gah, it's the most difficult part for me, worse than waking up at 5:00 am to go to the gym and I'm a night owl!!
I'm committing myself again to SP...I'm in need of structure and SP has helped me when I stuck to it! I wish all of us, those that are starting SP for the first time or starting over, much success!! We can do it! Here's to a Happy and Healthy new year!!
Okay so looking at my 2012 Introduction I see I can improve my attitude a smidge.
I can't let my past failures dictate my future. I did have some weight loss success in 2011, so I know I am capable of losing weight when I set my mind to it (as we all are!!!!)
I will make working out a habit, so it becomes less of a chore. For me that means dance classes!!! Lots and lots of dance classes! :-)
So it's 2012 and I'm disappointed that not much has changed since a year ago. I have started going to the gym again for starters and am slowly working on getting my food on track too. Health problems still invade my life, but so far nothing that prevents me from working out. It's going to be a better year!!!
This year's intro...2011....well hmmn I'm here again and weigh a lot more than I did last year (about 20 lbs.), so obviously I was in the wrong mindset . I had some physical obstacles, but certainly not enough to warrant lethargy for over 6 months! I know my relationship with food needs some serious revamping and also how I deal with stress. Movement would be good....say 3 times a week to start.
I'm going to start slowly this time, b/c every other time I have taken this journey I go in full force in the beginning and burn out weeks later. Sometimes I can make it 2-3 months, but never anything long term. Well that's it for now. I'm on the weight loss path again, but cautiously forging ahead.

Long-term goal = lose 120lbs. by whenever it decides to leave me...however within the next two years would be fabulous!

-taking a lot of dance classes at least 3x's per week

-water, water, and more water
-no processed sugary treats
-minimal use of honey and agave
-sleep, like a normal person!! :-)
10.04.12 - had partial hysterectomy (kept my ovaries)...I'm glad I had it, but the recovery is grueling.
I love sweet treats!!! I am going to figure out how to not deprive myself and find healthier options for my sweet tooth cravings...
Life after 40 is not so bad, it's the extra 100+ lbs. that I brought with me that stink!
