I am a dedicated mom, homeschool teacher to three (16, 14, and 12 years olds), wife and fan of early quiet mornings, books, and coffee. I invite you to "Lean, Mean, Running Machine 2016" to watch me grow in the Word and Health and Fitness.
My goals are to eat lean, have meaner and sweatier workouts and to run/walk 1000 miles in 2016!
5% Spring Challenge
Eat more veggies. (I am aiming at 5 a day) Fruits, Lean meats, healthy fats and whole grains.
Run no less than 10 miles a week.
Zumba 5 days a week
I have a step goal of 10,000. I want to meet this goal 5X a week. Sunday is my rest day.

Three months without a phone??? Holy cows. I'm overdue because mine just won't support certain apps (like Sparkpeople) LOL. And others. We went to the store, but decided to just buy the phone outright from Samsung. This was a smart move because we not only got it slightly cheaper, but we go a bonus Virtual Reality headset which we can gift to our son at Christmas. ChaChing!! Winner Winner!

Hi Elizabeth! What part of S.C. do you live in? Did you get affected by the hurricane? Was just browsing the site and saw your spark page. So admirable that you "home school" -- I taught adult students for many years. Also like early mornings, good coffee, becoming a better Christian, and staying active. I do the "Mixed Mutt" team with another person (she lives in North Carolina). So nice to see your positive attitude and determination.

Hi, I like keto - not much into recipes ... just ate a can of spinach with a tbsp of butter for afternoon snack ( got hungry )....... I loose for the first time .. then gain back a little - then move down more - its strange .. but I am off diabetic meds - and that is a big deal - the meds were not working - then a new one started to get BS down - and keto diet- it flew down - I stayed on the meds to be sure for about another week before stopping - and they are great !!!!! even lowered thyroid meds down from 225- 175 synthroid .. only change was the diet .. a lot of eggs , hard boiled and omelet type . coffee with coconut oil tsp.. most everyday 1 or 2 cups..olive oil on real foods - figured my macro is 20%carb/net carb..protein 60%, fat 75% try to stay in this to maintain .. weight loss , need to fat fast to really loose but then bloodsugars drop too low so its a balance I am learning ..is this what you wanted ?

Thanks! Maybe I'll look her up. Right now my gym is Muv Fitness - until June of 2017 anyway. :)
