Spent a lot of time just trying to think the weight off, but as you imagine it hasn't worked so well..........so here I am

Good lord, here I am starting again, armed with more knowledge, I embark on the journey again.

I have always been care free and care less about my health, weight, nutrition, or whatever. Always figured I could just think the weight and bad lifestyle away.........guess what, it didn't work.

Here I am on Spark people turning 46 this month suffering from the glorious results of a mis-spent youth.

ready and willing to do what it takes to drop a bunch of weight.....totally about 110 pounds would be good. That would be a long term goal.......

realistically and in the mid term I want to go down enough to fit into all the clothes I have very recently grown out of, 30 pounds will be that goal obtained before my BWCA trip this summer.

in the short term, 10 pounds by mid February. Thats 2 pounds a week, and should be obtainable.

My Goals:
I need to lose about 100 lbs


short term goal: start the trend downward. SUCCESS!!!!

mid term goal : lose 20 by golf season mid April!!

long term.......waste away to nothing....ok, just lose 100 and see where I need to go from there.

My Program:
Tracking food accurately and consistently day to day. Add some activity to my days that has never been there before, but just enough so that I will keep it going, even got a pedometer so that I can compete with myself.

I will push myself more than I have before, because I can do this.

    Hi I just wanted to say after see'n ya on my message board I had to read your page and I agree I too tried to think the weight off...no luck either....heck I even tried steamin' the weight off...no luck by the way on that either..lol

    Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I will be doing the Diabetics 8 week challenge and my daily Wii Fit challenge to see if that will help me start losing. It is very frustrating. I was thinking that I wasn't getting in enough variety. I also installed the Sparks app for my phone and I will start tracking my foods. I have never done both tracking fitness and eating at the same time. Now I will work harder at both of them. Have a great weekend.
