I am finally ready and committed to making a real, concerted effort to reach my weight loss goal. I have joined the 2015 Summer 5% Challenge, on the Starfish team! I hope we will have more future challenges because this really motivates me to not only help myself but to also help my team reach our destinations! I even ordered a starfish ring to wear that will continually remind me of my goals! I found a 14 ct white gold starfish anklet that I will get when I reach my goal.

Some might think I am going overboard, but it is just a reflection of my dedication. I live in a tropical place, so an anklet would be something I could wear all the time. :) the ring was fairly inexpensive as it is sterling silver instead of gold, but I wear both so it is fine for a daily reminder!

I hope that everyone is finding renewed dedication to stay with their plan. I know that I will reach my goal as long as I stick to my plan! HAPPY SUMMER EVERYONE!

My Goals:
My goal is to get into the 150s. Also to be stronger and to be able to stay more active and able to keep up with my husband! :)

My Program:
I will walk on the treadmill at least 5 days per week, will do weight training at least 3 times per week and will also do floor exercises such as crunches and leg lifts. I have a yoga DVD I plan to use occasionally. I will drink at least 8 cup of water daily and will do my best to stay in my calorie range (I often don't eat enough so I will work on that!)

Personal Information:
I am from Raleigh, NC, but moved with my husband to Okinawa, Japan in 2012. I am an administrative professional who has been without a job since we moved here. Still trying to find a position, but the competition is stiff because there are many military spouses trying for jobs also (my hubby is a federal employee who works with the marines)!

I have no children other than grown step children (from my husband previous marriage). Currently no pet, but I would really like to adopt a pet at some point!
