I'm a vegetarian who can't cook well. I'm trying to learn how to cook, eat a healthy diet, eat less chocolate and lose weight. I'm here to find cooking ideas. I have been following Eat to Live book by Joel Furhman.

I'm finding out that when I eat mostly fruits and veggies I lose weight (I've lost over 15 pounds) and when I start eating the junk the weight comes back (hey doesn't that makes sense). And here is the best part, I'm never hungry.

I exercise 40 minutes ...

I exercise 40 minutes on my elliptical, and I have been doing P90X three times a week (finished P90X and will start again sometime). I also do some exercise DVDs, lift weights and other exercise. I always need ideas for other exercise ideas.

My Goals:
Losing weight by eating healthy foods. Learning to cook will help.

I have been following the Eat To Live plan.

Eating lots of fruits and veggies and some beans, whole grains, nuts and seeds.

My Program:
Exercise 40 minutes a day on the elliptical. I also lift weights, do exercise DVD's and other exercise.

Personal Information:
I have been teaching kids to play the piano for 20 years. I like playing piano and guitar. I like to listen to rock, movie music, classical and jazz.
Scifi and action adventure movies are my favorite movies to go see.
Reading books is very fun and exiciting. It's takes me away from it all. I like scifi, action adventure and fantasy books the best.

Other Information:
I have been a vegetarian for 20 years. I live in Kansas.

Flipping busy is how lol...man was yesterday another long day but I did get in a lot of walking!! And today was super busy as well...got the house cleaned and that feels great! Ate good today...yesterday was a messed up day for eating...missed a meal and that set me up for eating bad! But today is going GREAT!! emoticon

I actually like teaching strength training class! I took that class over for someone earlier this year and I have fallen in love with it. I am trying to get down to 2 days at this Y, and get on at different Ys for my other days. That said, I want at least one of my classes to stay Zumba. I definitely want my other class to be some type of strength training class.

Hey Kim! Sorry about not getting back to you yesterday...it was a really really busy day for me yesterday...took my daughter into the city and got some arrends done as well. But I did get in a lot of walking yesterday! My legs are sore today! Awesome on the weight lifting!! Awesome on going up with your weights! emoticon You were busy girl! Great workouts!!

yeah and its cold here!! emoticon will be doing a workout today for sure! emoticon
