If you're looking for super cheap ways to get veggies, frozen is often the way to go. It's awesome because the produce is frozen at the peak of freshness, which means it still has most of its nutrients. And often it's cheaper to buy, say, a bag of frozen diced pepper than it is to buy a bunch of peppers, especially when out of season. And it will keep for as long as you keep it in the freezer. That could be a great way to do smoothies, too. Get some frozen spinach and berries and blend it up with yogurt, milk, or water and a little bit of sweetener. Or stock up when it's on sale and freeze it yourself. Good luck!
