Having been "chubby" all my life and following various diets to lose weight- always gaining it back, I want to quit dieting and be healthy. My Goals:
My first goal is to be healhty. With several of my family members diabetic, I want to lower my risks by eating healthy and live a life long enough to be active with my future grandchildren. Secondly, I want to lose weight, ten pounds at a time. Thirdly, I want a body that "doesn't jiggle" when I walk (just remembering a haunting comment that a student made to me 40 years ago when I was in elementary school.) Amazing how those things stick with us.
My Program:
Try to avoid sweets and most white flour foods. Exercise walking with friends, and with Insanity. Be consistent with a weight-training program.
Personal Information:
I am 53, married, two daughters, 12 and 16. I am a teacher of high school students- Language Arts. I enjoy art on my free time- a commodity that I find rare- and need to devote more time to developing talents and less time grading papers.
