2-20-13 Confessions.

While I'm not great at keeping my SparkPage up to date, I have continued to be very active on the site over the past year. Unfortunately, I also allowed myself to become lackadaisical about my food choices. What harm can a few cheese and crackers before dinner do? What's wrong with a few chips at lunch? The problem is nothing if it's an exception, but definitely something once it becomes a habit! The result is close to 20 pounds that need to go to get back to where I was.

Since the new year I have been back on track, healthy eating, lots of exercise. Unfortunately the weight has not decided to follow my lead so far. :( But rather than throw in the towel, I am determined to keep on track.

1-1-11 New Year update.

It's been a slow last few months, concluded with my Dad dying the Saturday before Christmas. Put a crimp in my exercise routine to say the least. But I did climb a 46er in the fall and continue to make progress - or at least not regress.

Lost weight - 80 pounds
Lost body fat - 51 pounds
Lost inches - 50

Birthday update! Still going in the right direction.

Lost weight - 74 pounds
Lost body fat - 48 pounds
Lost inches - 48.25

One year anniversary of my commitment to a healthier me, February 22. Giving myself a pat on the back! A full year of consistent progress in the right direction!

Lost weight - 65 pounds
Lost body fat - 40 pounds
Lost inches - 43.5
Found energy - seemingly infinite!

Looks like I am well on my way to climbing Rocky Peak Ridge this summer!

My Goals:
Climb Rocky Peak Ridge, a 46er that I stare at from my dock every day we're in the Adirondacks. It will be nice to say I've been up there. And hope my knees cooperate! Otherwise, enjoy healthy energy.


My Program:
KISS. To quote Michael Pollan, "Eat Food. Not too much. Mostly plants." Move my body every day. Yoga and walks with my hubby. Curves. Yes, ladies!
