I put on a lot of weight (60 lbs) in less than a year about 8 years back- a combination of medical problems, stress, and a medication reaction. I've been struggling to get it off ever since, and have lost about half, but it went very slowly, and then got stuck altogether. I am determined to lose the rest of this weight. Update: 2 years later-- I worked really hard, took more off, crashed energy-wise & put it all back & more. I finally found out this summer I was hypothyroid, which explains a lot. So now with thyroid replacement I am back on track, my energy is improving, and back to trying to get to a healthy weight & just plain healthy. I WILL get there & stay there.

My Goals:
Reach 140 and tone up/ improve flexibility by April 1 2012. I finished a 59 day juice fast-- now I want to complete 2 more 30 day fasts with a 2 week break in between. Get to the gym at least 3 days a week. More if possible. Run a 5K late April.
Personal Information:
Divorced mother of 3, 1 teenage daughter left at home. City-dweller who loves the urban life (even though I rarely have time for much). Academic.
