The Hubster finished the race and then doubled back to keep me company. He's such a good sport.

The Mutt Brothers. I miss them every day.

I want to grow old with my husband. He has done a great job getting in shape the past couple of years. I have been working out and have slimmed down to a size 12. I haven't lost a lot of weight, though. In order to reach some personal goals, I'm going to have lose some pounds. Besides, my long-term goal is to grow old with my husband and to be able to enjoy every minute with him. That means being healthy and active.

My Goals:
1. Be in triathlon shape again. Doesn't mean I'll compete in a triathlon, but I want to be that fit again. I didn't get there in 2013.

2. Be able to run a sub-10 minute mile again. That will require losing weight. I just won't do it at the current weight. Too much to lug around with me. I know it's not a lightning fast speed, but it's the best I've ever been able to do as an adult.

3. Be able to do a push up - a chest to the floor and back up again push up. I can do half-assed push ups now.

4. Be able to do a pull up. Because I want to be a bad-ass.

My Program:
Do something every day to reach one of those goals. Track on my personal calendar.

Personal Information:
I live in Lowell, MA in a gorgeous condo on one of the canals. Our apartment has 6 windows that are 4 ft. x 10 ft. and it faces southeast. I have daylight from sunrise to almost sunset.

I just noticed in your comment to OneKidsMom that you live in LOWELL. My son works in Lowell and has a 2 family house there near the university. He moved to Lexington while grandson was in HS, but is now moving back to live close to his work.
I remember when they were turning the mills on the river into condos. What a great view and terrific use of the property.

Oh, sorry there Dawg! They are Maori words. Whanau= family and Whataitai is the Maori spelling of the suburb we live in.
The new chickens are Hylines, one is 18 months old, which is considered end of lay, she was destined for the stock pot, the others are pullets at about 8 months.
The oldest gal is so improved, I have no fears for her now.

As for the sauerkraut, you would know it is no good, because you could taste and smell if it is not right. It's so easy and yummy, I am thrilled!

Fast and slow are relative terms. If my ridiculously slow pace is faster than your race pace, so what? You need to run your race, not my race or my recovery run.

And your DNF certainly beats the DNS I had for the 2014 Corporate Challenge. We all have our failures, but once we learn what our failures have to teach us it's time to move on.
