Mindful living

I've been retired for three and a half years and am using this time to develop a new life style in the areas of nutrition and exercise.

I love to travel. I lived in the Philippines for 2 years and Spain for 2 years, and have traveled through most of the US and much of Europe. I've been very lucky that I have been able to do what I love. I'm going to have to substitute teach more often to earn enough to do more traveling. Hmmmm, sounds like work to me!!! lol

Joining SP has helped motivate me and keeps me on track.

Long term I need to lose 100 lbs., but I'm focusing on the short term first! 2014 is the year that I succeed in getting where I want to be!!!!!

I'm at 16,244 so far and it is 7:15 p.m. and I am beat so not sure I will make my 18,000 today but I will be happy if I hit 17,000 again. I can try again tomorrow!

Right now we have neither veggies or flowers. We harvested the last of the winter garden last week and enjoyed the last few carrots and radishes. I have a few green tomatoes on the patio waiting to ripen up. We are just working on trimming up dead branches and cleaning up the yard so we can spend some time at the cabin this summer.
