    Hi! I actually didn't use SparkPeople when I was losing. I joined recently to support my sister but I really enjoy the community and information here.

    What I did use was FitDay.com to track all my calories. Once you get used to it it isn't very time-consuming. I feel I've learned a lot about healthy eating from doing that so I've now stopped tracking and all is well.

    I also developed the habit of regular exercise beyond all the running around I do with my toddler and my big boy. I started out walking and now I am running. It is the best thing I ever did for myself. I have never felt so good or been so fit in my life. Which is now going to be long and healthy and active.

    Congrats on quitting smoking by the way! I saw my mother-in-law die of lung cancer at age 50 and she was so young to leave us! We still needed her! I didn't want to do that to my family (albeit with overweight not smoking).

    Anyway - good luck to you! Give yourself time to learn and experiment - you'll get there.
