I joined Spark in early 2009 to help prepare and motivate myself for my first 10k (that my best friend signed us up for!) and get in shape in the progress. It has been a great, fun, successful journal and the habits I have learned along the way has made being a healthier, fitter me possible. My biggest motivations have been fitting comfortably back into some of my clothes that have gotten snug over past few years. And now that has happened I am sticking to my guns! ...
I joined Spark in early 2009 to help prepare and motivate myself for my first 10k (that my best friend signed us up for!) and get in shape in the progress. It has been a great, fun, successful journal and the habits I have learned along the way has made being a healthier, fitter me possible. My biggest motivations have been fitting comfortably back into some of my clothes that have gotten snug over past few years. And now that has happened I am sticking to my guns! The first time I got down to business when I needed to get in shape, I did a great job on WW and was a whole new fit me. Then after a stint in a pretty stressful, and busy position, I found myself gaining the weight back little by little when the stress had went away. Then it was all back. So I am here on Spark, gaining motivation, spending time with my great gal 10 in 12 friends team who are heading down the same path, which of course makes this so much more fun! Our biggest stay on track thing has been signing up for running races. So far I have done a 10k, multiple 5ks and 3 halfs. My next race is 5K in April. Gonna keep signing up to keep me going.

My Goals:
1. Get a personal best at the SC 5K in November. (DONE) 2. Maintain weight. (SO FAR SO GOOD) 3. Train for the Vegas Half (DONE!) so I can be ready! Next up PR at the Sarari Park Half in March 2011. 4. Do Yoga at least 1 times a week.

1. Running Outside (5K + each time) 2. Low to Moderate Yoga Classes
Personal Information:
I live in the Santa Clarita Valley and enjoy all we have to offer out here, great landscapes and paseos to run along. Plus plenty of local races to keep me on track with my running goals.

Interests: I love wine, cooking, music, pictures, spring sunny days, spending times with friends, volunteering, training/speaking.
