To become fit and healthy

I am on a health quest to both lose the last 15lbs and become physically fit. My goals are to find a balance between exercise to keep my weight managed and strength so I can be a better cross country skiier when I go home and play golf. I love golf and skiing. Both require strength and flexibility and strong heart/lungs. I love yoga, running, Coach Nicole and weights......my goal is to take an hour each day and focus on things that help me.....logging, SPARK, meditating and exercise..... ...

This past year has been very difficult and challenging and the weight really has fallen off without much concentration. I am one of those either lucky or not so lucky who loses weight under extreme stress. This year was one of those years I'm afraid. I have my health at least and that has allowed me to enjoy my PACE, Yoga and running within reason. I find the 5 running/walking in intervals seems to help me and keeps me fit without injuries. My biggest weakness is sugar and chocolate. I would be skinny if it weren't for those two sins :-) Hugs

My Program:
I am using Yoga/Qigong to help BE in my body. I use P.A.C.E, biking and walking to burn calories; body pump twice a week (weight training); TAPPING (EFT) to reset my thinking; meditation using both guided, transcendental and Joe Dispenza's work to really enter the river of change to a FULLER and NEW me.....I juice and Nutribullet daily in some form for nutrition and healing....and of course SPARKPEOPLE :-)

Other Information:
Life is glorious opportunity to learn, grow, experience and CHANGE. We are the only species that can watch and observe ourselves, our thinking and CHOOSE a better mind....very kewl

I don't think of 57 as "old" and sometimes, like the knees, I am surprised when something aches. I do remember my mother retired around my age, but she had a very physical job. Here I am trying to raise 5 kids and maintain a full time job. I just get really tired during weekdays. I get up around 5:15 am at my desk from 7 - 3 and it's nonstop the entire day. Funny, my knees didn't hurt last night. I hope we can maybe do 2 miles today.

I live in Northwestern Ontario. The weather can be .... surprising - especially in recent years. We've had rain in January when it is usually -30 degrees. Now we've gotten snow when we usually plant gardens.
