DEEEBEE'S DIARY

I am resigning myself to what I weigh even though it's more than the charts say it should be. My weight has remained stable for a long time. I am exercising six days a week and watching my diet. I just got another lab report with excellent results. My doctors tell me I am in good health and to keep on doing what I'm doing. I have a lot of energy--seldom feel tired. I am losing inches, just not pounds, and going clothes shopping is almost a pleasure again. My new goal is not to gain any weight.

My Goals:
To stay healthy, eat better, and have some fun.

My Program:
I do stretches every morning, and I walk 6 days/week. I walk with the Volksmarchers (ava.org), some friends 1X/week, and meetups (info@meetup.com). I'm on SP's 10K/day team, which is very motivating. I have started back with WT at Gold's Gym.

Personal Information:
I have always lived in St. Louis. I've been married for 27 years to Gordon, a very patient man. We have two adult children and two grandsons, 19 and 6, who live in Albuquerque. I retired from teaching high school, but then helped a friend at her preschool for 3 years. I am very much enjoying retirement.

Favorite TV shows: The Good Wife, Jon Stewart, and Stephen Colbert.

Favorite books: The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, The Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean Auel, Blue Highways by William Least Heat Moon, The Help by Kathryn Stockett

I know the feeling all too well. I have not done too much around here since my fall. Now that I am feeling better and the hematoma is healed, I have no excuses. I know all too well about projects. I like to knit, crochet, embroidery, anything but clean house. Hehehehe

Upper doors on the cabinets cleaned and now today on to the lower doors. There is 9 doors behind me in my photo and that is just the North wall. Nice to have all the storage though as our house in Wichita only had minimal cabinets.

Thanks for stopping by my blog about edamame. I am kind of limited on foods in our small town at the Hy-Vee, but I like to try different things if possible. DH is not a fan of "different" foods. HA!

Hello - thanks for dropping by my blog. The drinking fountain rule was something new I noticed in the article. Drink for 10 seconds every time you pass a drinking fountain.

Just wanted to congratulate you on your progress. That darn old scale isn't moving too fast for me either but I also am losing inches and feeling better with more energy. It is really motivating me to stay with it.
