Happy July 4th! From Willie and Phoebe
The REAL ME!!!
Shared Food Tracker
I signed up again for another 5% weight loss challenge starting Jan 14. The challenge runs for 8 weeks. I find this challenge helps me get back on track and keep from gaining all my weight back. I have been a Spirited Underdog for most of the challenges.
I live in Washington State. I have struggled with weight my whole life. More than once I''ve had to lose 30 pounds. It just kinda creeps up on ya uh?
I''m thinking that getting use to being focused on what I eat each day, will make it different this time.
My family includes my husband, 2 Moluccan cockatoos (more trouble than my children were) and a Pomchi .
I have 3 daughters, 2 live in the Seattle WA. area and Silverdale. My Youngest daughter lives here in Port Angeles. and she gave birth 11 months ago to a beautiful baby girl 2/20/16. . I have 4 other grandchildren, ages 23, 18, 6 and 4. My biggest wish was to live closer to my children and grandchildren. My wish came true, but it was hard won. On Oct 18, 2013 we had a house fire in our home in Lake Havasu, AZ. It took nine months of misery, rental moves, and insurance adjustments but we moved into OUR home in Port Angeles, WA 7-18-2014.
Here''s to us ALL "positively" losing and keeping our weight off!!
To maintain 135 lbs.
To Eat Healthy.
Tracking my food daily
drinking 64 oz water EVERY day.
Never sit more than 15 minutes.
Walk 5 miles a day.
I am 68 years old
I live in Port Angeles, WA
Have lived in Fl, AZ, Id, and Ca.
Our pets are 2 Moluccan cockatoos and a Pomchi. The birds keep me the most busy.
We have my 95 year Mother who lived with us 13 years and was just transferred to a Memory Care Home. That broke my heart.

The labor came higher but still reasonable (if not cheap) at $1400.00
So far the materials cost us $1331.20 so again, very reasonable as this was the full shower and a new toilet, lol. Oh, and a new sink insert and hardware.
Ray's son wants to give us $1000 towards the cost so this is very doable. Ray was really upset when I started, but now he's so happy that I did it! We're waiting on the doors to be installed and I have 2 support bars on order and waiting for them to arrive. We're going to forgo the new medicine cabinet as they are prohibitively high! I'll just repaint the innards and he will be happy.
Our paneling is being replaced by sheetrock and we are thinking of retiling the floor and then we'll be done! Yes, we will need to paint the sheetrock.
The entire bathroom is barely 6' x 7' - we're talking tiny here! But it is big enough for us. The new shower is 6' x 3' - almost half the bathroom! Ray will be able to enter it with his rollator walker and then turn around and sit, lol.
I know - Alzheimer's really is a b*@ch and it kills. It kills slowly. If Mom's attitude is ok, then you can relax and know you're doing all you can. No one can expect more than that of you or anyone.
I hope your body settles down from the shock of the gallbladder being removed. Meditation might help? Or just go talk to the birds and the dog?
