OK... I know I can do this. Unfortunately, I really do know I can, because I did it before. I lost 65lbs when I was in college, and kept it off for years. Now, 16 years later, I've allowed 30 of those pounds to creep back on. I am ready to do it again...
UPDATE: I did it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I lost those 30 pounds, and then some more! Now I have to practice keeping it off...
To banish blob-ness from my life!
I hope to get into a healthy lifestyle that I can maintain, that doesn't feel restrictive.
Well, I put everything I eat onto my nutrition page, to keep myself within my daily calorie/nutritional limits. I am having a hard time keeping my carbs down, and often don't get enough fat and protein. I occasionaly allow myself to go a little over my calorie-limit, and have a couple beers (mmmm, beer)... I am also trying to eat very healthy... all whole grains, lower sodium, with more organic fruits and vegetables. I ate pretty healthy before (being a vegetarian)... volume and sodium were my biggest problems.
I also have been exercising... walking, exercise TV on demand, cardio dvds, using my exercise bike, and using hand weights.
I'm happily married, and live in cool and historic Salem, MA. I've been a vegetarian for 21 years, and I LOVE animals. We have 4 furry children, 2 cats and 2 dogs... so our house can be a little chaotic.
I enjoy reading, listening to music, and used to be really into art and poetry. I am trying to bring these things back into my life to increase my overall happiness, and increase my mental as well as my physical health.
