Must Stop the Cycle!

Hello All! I am a 31 year old occupational therapist who is crazy busy between work and dancing! I have been dancing for 23 years. Hello All! I am a 31 year old occupational therapist who is crazy busy between work and dancing! I have been dancing for 23 years. Happily, I have a boyfriend that loves me no matter what my size, but I need to do this for me and not for him. I want to feel sexy and good about myself. Over the last few years I have really seen my self doing a lot of yo-yoing on the scale. I am getting really good at losing the weight and then putting it back on, frequently within the same year. The motivation to lose just becomes harder and harder each time. But I have to learn how to stop this cycle.

I began taking pole dancing and chair dancing in September 2009 and I am totally loving it! I find it is an incredible workout that is very intense. Pole really focuses on strengthening, something that I tend to forget about. I am still dancing ballet but not as much as I used to as I find it doesn't burn the calories the way I need it to. I also just recently starting doing TRX which kicks my butt from here to Mars every week!

After a really successful day in pole the other day, I said to myself I may be short and fat. But at least I am short, fat, happy, and fit! I am one strong chic!!! I may have weight to lose, but I still have some great positive physical attributes and focusing on making those even better is going to get me to my end goal.

My Goals:
- to lose 15 pounds
- to drink all of my liquid/water everyday
- blog at least 3 times per week
- pole class twice per week
- TRX once per week

Still figuring the rest out!


My Program:
Working on coming up with a new program. The old one stopped working when my boyfriend and I became serious, which caused me to gain all my weight back. Experimenting with some ideas right now and when I figure it out, I will let you all know :)

Thanks for popping by my blog. Unfortunately about 6 months ago, I fell and broke three bones in my ankle. After surgery... recovery... looking at another surgery. So for now, no jumping for me. But when this is all said and done - look out!

Thanks for the comment, no I don't mix my squash with noodles as I am on a gluten free diet and I haven't found a gluten free pasta that I like.
