Healthy, Wealthy and Wise at 45
I am tired of not being healthy. The numbers don't really mean as much to me as being healthy and to quit using food for pleasure and social events. Instead, use food as the way it was intended, to nourish our bodies. I am very involved in the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Charity. My mother passed away from Breast Cancer in 2004. My Goals:
I am 45 years old and I want to be healthy for the rest of my life. I want to lose around 38 pounds. I am getting married in 2012 and would like to be in tip top shape for the event. Our dream wedding is on the beach and I want to wear a really beautiful strapless peach colored gown. Hey, Im 45...who needs white?????
My Program:
I am maintaining a 1200 - 1550 calorie a day diet. Strength training 3 days a week, Running 2 days a week, Swimming another 2 days a week and 1 day of Yoga. (if you haven't tried Yoga, you must!! It is the best thing I have done for my body in a long time)
Personal Information:
I am from Maize, KS. That is a suburb of Wichita, Kansas. I would like to hear from other Kansans. Maybe this spring and summer we can start a group run or walk at Sedgwick Co. Park.
