Christmas Eve 2010 - My Son is SOOOO Big now!!
Spring Break - April 2011 (Honeymoon Island, FL)
Glade Tri 2010
I'M BACK!!!! After a few tough personal years, I'm rejuvenated and bringing myself back to garner support from fellow sparkers. After my move in 2010, I made a best ditch effort to continue my fitness goals, but got sidetracked along the way. RI had many beautiful venues to keep me active, and I was honestly uninspired in my new home state. Since moving, I did complete two half marathons early on, and recently (early this summer) completed the Insanity program....however, after completing it, I went on a fitness hiatus.
I am going back to my tried and true, Body For Life, regime. I find with my work schedule, this program is where I will see results. I believe the key is diet mainly, with a balance of weight training and cardio. But its such an easy program to follow when you prepare and organize...so, if you're on this program, or need or can lend support, send me a message.
Update: 12/29/11 -- I've been out of touch for quite some time. Since moving south, I've lost a bit of focus after finishing two half-marathons in April 2010. I still go to the gym, run, and try to eat decent, but still the weight is creeping on.
I figured if anyone can get me back on track...its ME! It has to be me, right? But, I've come back to SparkPeople for motivation.
I'm updated my goals to the right, and with a goal to keep me in line, I WILL be successful !!
Update: 9/1/10 -- Currently training for my 3rd triathlon on 10/2/10. I've slipped a bit since moving back to WV. A hip injury in April set me back about 5-6 weeks. I'm trying to get focused, get used to the miserable heat this summer, and do my best.
12/29/09: On January 4th, I will leave Rhode Island after 7 1/2 years of falling in love with the little state. Returning to my home state of West Virginia, I will begin a career I've dreamed of for many years. In the process of doing this, a total life change is coming about. I'm excited and ready to make it happen.
Thanks to all my spark buddies that inspire and encourage me along my path to adventure and fitness!!
My immediate goals ~

12/29/11: I've decided to go heavy....WHAT? yes! lifting heavy using the Jamie Eason LIVE FIT program.
Phase I - Weights, no cardio....that's going to be hard for me to live without the bike or elliptical..but maybe I'll cheat a bit (the good kind...exercise cheating)
Relocated January 2010 from Rhode Island to central West Virginia.
Have a 14 year old son who is very smart, talented and sweet (most of the time :-)
Been renovating a home I bought in April 2010 -- painted the exterior all by myself, and have had the 1950 pink and gray bath re-done, plus other small renovations.

I am SOOOOO hoping that the ran hold out tomorrow for just a little bit. I hope that you are feeling better. This will NOT be my peak performance either, I am there just to have fun ;) I have a marathon next week so I am trying to take it a bit easy and enjoy the festivities and push myself too...AND, I am excited about costumes! I bought my stuff today and I have this iron on decal for the American Gladiators...I am not so sure that anyone will know who I am besides just patriotic but that is okay by me ;)
My number is 401-585-6751, I am going to try to get there in plenty of time to get an idea of what we're actually doing!
See you soon!

Race week is here!
Yeah, we can definitely meet at the race site on Saturday for sure, maybe we should exchange number to text location or something.
SO, about the costumes, I know for most of these races they do like superhero themes or because it's a warrior dash the obvious would be a warrior-esque type get-up...but when I think of these kinds of races I think gladiator like the old school American Gladiator. AND although this idea seemed absurd to me at first (but I LOVED the show by the way), I looked up the costume and it's not so hard...I don't know what anyone did before the Internet or PinInterest...anyhow...that's what I am going with...
Hopefully it's not TOO cold :)
I am started to get excited but hope that I can do all of the crazy obstacles!

I missed your message!
I do not know about "killing" obstacles per se, I am hoping just to get over the 5 foot wall ;)
The group run sounds like fun. Do they do any other days than Wednesdays?

It's official, I am signed up too, 9AM preferred wave! It looks like it is going to be a great time. There is an indoor obstacle course gym in Providence (near Port of Providence) that I want to try out before race day, we should try it!
Also - I am thinking costume for sure...

I hope that you enjoy this 50 degree weather this weekend - I am thinking of going to the beach ;)
