4/25/13 Hey There! I'm Teri, I have been a member of SP since 2006, and in that time I've gone from 194 lbs down to 145 and now I'm at 175. I have gone through breakups, makeups, job loss, deaths and medication. I have completed a Master's Degree, joined the Air National Guard, and attended Boot Camp as well as Technical Training in this time. I have started a website, Trekarious.com on my travels. The last 20 pounds of my weightloss took place in a controlled environment, where I was far removed from my normal life. I managed to maintain a weight of 150-155 for approximately 2 years before I was overtaken with stress of finishing my degree and the joys of a new relationship with a man who loved dessert as much as I do. He and I worked the 'I worked hard for it' philosophy a bit too much, I fear, and despite all of our activities over the summer we didn't lose any weight. I have now completely stepped off of my antidepressants and am working on getting myself back to my basics of tracking, calorie burn, and eating helpfully. I'm shooting to drop 20 lbs at a rate of 1.5 lbs a week by calorie deficit. I choose not to set my life on hold while I do this, because while it was successful before in the end I gained some back. I know that I had a more than healthy focus on weight loss and control and instead need to find a good balance with life. I intend to keep working my way through life!
