I joined here mid-June 2014. I am enjoying it and finding inspiration to get fit. I love the forums, spinning the wheel, finding ways to earn more points, getting to know other SPers, and offering support as well. I plan to be here until I reach my goal and long after!

I am older than I look, act and think. I like to be silly and laugh loudly, but also need my alone time. I work part-time at a natural food Co-op and Market where I am grateful to have local, organic, delicious food available. I am intuitive, and highly sensitive to the feelings of others. At times, my senses and emotions are overwhelming and anxiety envelops me.

My oldest graduated college Spring 2014, and my other child is still in college. They are back and forth, along with their brilliant and fun friends. My husband and I like it that way. We are open-minded people who love to listen and learn about different lifestyles, viewpoints, interests, and music, too. I am grateful to have an insatiable curiosity with an eagerness to explore.

I am on the path to become Confidently Fit. I want to lose my extra 30 or so pounds. Healthy fats, healthy meats, fruits and veggies will be my staples, and I will avoid all grains and sugar. I will bike, swim laps, practice yoga, walk my goofy and handsome dog and enjoy a large collection of fitness dvd and yes, even VHS :)

Signing in to SP everyday.

Track my Nutrition.

Track my Exercise:
long walks, weight training, swimming laps, yoga, and casual biking.

Monitor my Anxiety and Practice Self Care without Guilt or Shame.

Enthusiastically supporting others adds to my motivation and confidence!

Personal Information:
I live in a Midwest, small, college-town. It is a wonderful diverse community with warm and open people, and oodles of things to see, do, and learn. However, because we have cold, ice, and snow 1/2 of the year, I dream of beaches!


Other Information:
I am a young 56 yr old, lucky in love, married for 25 years, and enjoy my two college kids who are in/out of the house.

I was 5'9, but may have shrunk to 5'8 ;) but, shhh..I'm not telling the weight ranges for goal weight ;
