Welcome to Gastric Bypass Sparklers! You’ll find plenty of support and encouragement here. No question is too stupid to ask, so post away and we’ll all put in our two cents worth. Utilize all the tools SP has to offer. I find tracking my food and exercise most helpful. Good luck on your weight loss journey!

Linda

Thanks so much for sharing your story. I came from a similar background...never lived in a tent (except for camping) but did live out of a car for a while & got ready for school in the bathroom of the laundromat. special. I, too, turned to books and learned there was a whole way of life that didn't revolve around parents' addictions. School was my refuge. Anyway, that was 40 years ago. I'm writing to tell you that it only gets better! Sure, life throws curveballs & sad things happen, but you've survived and will continue to do so. My four children are grown now, all college graduates, and all gathering this week at HOME, because they can't imagine wanting to be anywhere else.

You are a beautiful woman both inside & out! All the best to you!
