I have a hundred pounds to lose, chronic pain to manage, and a lot of determination to spend more quality time with my family over the years to come. My Goals:
Weight on March 1st before joining SparkPeople May 15th, 2012 was 254 lbs. Weight on May 15th : 249 lbs. Weight loss in pounds from 254 as a start: 1.Hit 244 ( Met June 15th, 2012) 2.Hit 234 ( Met July 11th, 2012) 3.Hit 224 ( Met Sept 9th, 2012) 4.Hit 214 ( Met Oct. 30, 2012) 5.Hit 204 Weight loss in percentages: 1. Lose 10% of my body weight. (Lose 25 lbs- Met 7/31/12!) 2. Lose 10% of my body weight again. (Lose 23 lbs- 206) Reach 190 lbs- Will take me from 'obese' category in BMI to 'overweight'. Reach 158 lbs- Will take me from 'overweight' to 'healthy' range in BMI. Current Goal Weight: 150 lbs. In general, track all calories eaten, exercise consistently, drink 8 cups of water a day, and striving to get to 150 lbs.
My Program:
The Plan: Find more FUN ways to get in physical activity as frequently as possible and include the kids! Strength training at least 2 Xs a week. Cardio at least 3 Xs a week. Stick to calorie range provided by SparkPeople. I've decided to attack my weight loss in chunks. 25 pounds at a time so that the task doesn't seem so daunting. A hundred pounds is pretty overwhelming to think about. Twenty-five seems a lot more manageable. I'll just do it four times. : )
Personal Information:
I was born in Southern Indiana. I have lived in Connecticut for four years now. My name is Coti Luttrell. I'm 33 years old. I'm unemployed, mostly due to the chronic pain. My current motto getting me through is that I am in pain if I work out and I am in pain if I don't, so I might as well be working out. At the least, working out regularly helps me be able to move more.
