Yes, I too needed to lose weight so I was doing this for myself, but I was also doing it for my husband who was diagnosed with an aortic aneurism. He needed to lose weight and I wasn't helping so we have stepped onto the bandwagon and now we are both on our way to a healthier life.

Believe it or not I didn't tell him my idea until after 2 weeks when he asked me if we were on a diet or something when I didn't replace the mayo that he had been using on his sandwiches. Now ...

It's hard to believe that I actually reached my goal. I think that I am much more disaplined than my husband but he has lost and is continuing on trying to live a healthy lifestyle.

I looked at a picture of myself taken just after I started and believe it or not I didn't recognise MYSLEF!!!!

Saw your question about "bike body" on the biking challenge page. Here's what I do, ride slow to work to keep from working up a sweat and then I ride fast home. When I get to the office, I go into the bathroom and fix myself up a bit--not much to work with here, though--and then I'm good to go.
