A journey is riddled with starts and stops. Sometimes we have to start over. But, starting over isn't really starting over. Its just re-evaluating where we've been and where we are going and making necessary changes. My journey here is about weight loss and more. its about where I've been and where I'm going as a person. My Goals:
I am working to lose weight and get back to what I had achieved here at Sparkpeople in 2008. My daily goals include:

1. Tracking my food and being conscious of my food choices and portions. Tracking does work.

2. Daily exercise. I walk, run, use DVDs.

3. Eat a healthy diet that includes fruit, vegetables, lean meats and whole grains.

4. Maintain my weight with the good habits I've developed over time.

Weight goals:
1. Get my weight in a normal BMI.
2. Feel good in my clothes. Wearing mediums.
3. Stay physically active by walking, running and other exercises.

My Program:
I lost 30 pounds on Sparkpeople in 2008. I don't deprive myself, but seek moderation in all things. I do what works for me and will adapt plans to fit my lifestyle.

I follow a combination of diets. South Beach Diet, The Doctor's Diet, by Travis Stork, The Sonoma Diet and elements of others. I adapt plans to fit me and my needs. For healthy long term weight loss you have to make a plan work for you. Extreme diets and plans aren't healthy in the long run and can back fire in weight gain. I follow a moderate carb approach.

Like Weight Watchers I don't track vegetables in my calories. I consider many vegetables zero calories if they are among what some diets call "free".

I like to walk and run outside. I also use walk DVD's and do some cycling. In the Winter I use a treadmill.

I weigh myself daily to monitor my progress.

I love the changes! I always thought the original age was awful from an artist point of view. ;)

Hi Cindi. I just wanted to say thank you for being so positive about all the changes with the Sparkpages.
So many people have not been and I am glad that some of us see the bright side of things.

I like your page, by the way. emoticon

Thanks for the add as well! You and I may have been here about the same time. I will add though......... I actually started SP in about 2002 but then became pregnant so moved over to Baby Fit, SP's sister site. Unfortunately, they were unable to move my information back after the birth of my baby girl. But that was alright! I started another account and then became pregnant again! :) God continued to bless me!

Anyway, I'm glad we can be SP friend! Good luck with your goals!
