Hi everyone! SparkPeople has been a lifesaver for me in terms of helping me stay accountable! If I know I need to enter everything I eat into SP I am FAR less likely to destroy a whole pint of ice cream or row of cookies!

Before joining SP I would eat pretty healthfully from Monday mornings - Friday afternoon and then it was like a switch was flipped; from the moment I got home from work on Friday through Sunday night I would binge eat to the extreme. I would feel gross all weekend and feel terrible on Monday! Mondays are hard enough without the added food hangover!

Now I eat very healthfully during the week (lots of fruits and veggies, whole grains, lean protein, healthy fats, minimally processed foods) and track all of my food. I start Saturdays off with a healthy breakfast (usually some oatmeal with canned pumpkin, a bit of maple syrup, and some chopped walnuts) and allow myself to "cheat" the rest of the day /evening. Sundays I get back on track, but am a little more lax than Monday - Friday.

I work out 5-6 days a week and constantly mix up my workouts so I don't get bored.

I am currently enrolled in the Health Coach Training Program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and will soon be starting a new career as a Certified Health Coach! I can't wait. Feel free to visit my website at

Start running outside consistently (like once per week at least)

Start a fitness DVD review blog!

Run a 10k (but first I should probably run an official 5k)

Run another fun obstacle course race like the Warrior Dash

Do a sprint triathlon

Become a certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition

Continue to cut back on use of artificial sweeteners.

My Program:
I track all my food Monday-Saturday morning and again on Sunday. Saturday is my cheat day!

I workout 5-6 days per week (strength and cardio), usually Friday is my rest day. I cross train with elliptical workouts, running intervals on the treadmill, the occasional run outside, plus a variety of home workout DVDs! I especially love DVDs by Cindy Whitmarsh and Jackie Warner.

I also drink tons of water and try to get 7-8 hours of sleep every night.

Personal Information:
I currently work in HR and am enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's Health Coach Training Program. I hope to be able to open my own practice some day soon and help others learn to live healthier lives!
