Believe Better Things

"You'll need coffee shops and sunsets and road trips. Airplanes and passports and new songs and old songs, but people more than anything else. You will need other people and you will need to be that other person to someone else, a living, breathing, screaming invitation to believe better things." - Jamie Tworkowski TWLOHA

All my life, I have struggled. With my weight, depression, myself. For a long time, I didn't see a point to living. Waking up was agony. To be honest, today I still struggle. I sit here, mother of four now, wondering how I can make things better, how I can make a difference. Often, I sit here wishing that I would be happier, skinnier, a better mother, to have more energy.

So many times, I've "started over", claiming and hoping that this time would be different; this time would be "the one".

Yet, here I sit, in the same position as before. Starting over. Hoping. Wishing.

It's time to start doing.

Today, I'm going to try not to think of it as starting over, but moving forward. Continuing on this journey for as long as it takes.

Thank you for your comment. My husband bought me a Garmin Forunner the Christmas before last. I love it and use the HR monitor all the time. I sometimes forget to charge it though, which is why I didn't have it yesterday. I used the machine's HR monitor when I could though to make sure my HR was climbing high enough and not going down too low during my resting intervals.

Thanks again for the comment. I hope you have a wonderful day! emoticon

Hi doll! I am doing well. I hope all is well for you and the family. I stopped using sparkpeople a while back. I'm using a program (I am drawing a blank for the name of it) that I downloaded to my smartphone. It is a much more simplified concept and so far it is working great for me. I have been headed downward with my weight since I started it. I am down about 15 lbs! I do miss the environment on here, but I don't seem to have the focus needed for this to work. My other program is strictly about the food and exercise and it is so basic it isn't hard to stay focused. Maybe one day I will come back.

I am super excited for your wedding dear. I hope that I can make it down. I miss you! Congrats btw on all the progress you have made!

Hey! It's good to hear from you again:) We are doing good. I'm getting the hang of exercising at home with the 3 year old under foot. :) Trying my best to eat healthy. I just made a spark recipe and it was really good!!

How's your progress going? I hope you're on track to "hot bride"! I know I am. Just keep thinking positive and looking forward!!

Good luck:)

Just wanted to stop by and tell you Thanks and how much I appreciated your positive response and words of encouragement on my recent blog. Yes, BBQ's can be a real pitfall for many of us, but I am feeling renewed and ready to forge ahead. Thanks!
