I'm beginning to realize I need more support and help while getting back down to a healthy weight . I've become frustrated over the past few years. Because of my limitations and being a careperson for my paretns, my weight continues to go up. I am looking for another alternative to put me on the right track and help me stay focussed. Possibly giving me some tips also that will help keep my motivation up..

Well. Here I am again... hoping 2011 will be the year I will be able to remain on this journey to become as healthy as I can possibly be. My life has been a tangle of emotions lately. My mom passed away in 2008. My dad is in the late stages of alzhemiers, so i cherish every minute and every memory we are able to have together. It's frustrating when i am unable to visit dad as much as I would like to. My husband and I have now become the main caregiver to my father-in-law also. Who was recently diagnosed with the lewy body dementia another form of this horrible disease. It is hard to watch them slowly deteriate in front of us. I now have a beautiful 18 month old grand daughter, Isabel, whom I watch 3 to 4 days a week for my daughter. She is a joy and a blessing in this crazy mixed up emotional roller coaster. I am hoping to begin again to untangle and unclutter my life one day at a time.

Wow, Here i am again June 21, 2017 on this roller coaster of emotions and life. I'm going to try to get my focus back and work at bettering my lifestyle. Dad passed away in Sept. 2011. My father-in-law is now in the nursing home, requiting 24 -7 daily care. He is in the late stages of this horrible disease, no longer is able to communicate with us and wheel chair bond. I now have 2 beautiful grand children (Isabel is 8 yrs old and Ethan is 5yrs old) and baby #3 is on the way. My mothers day gift and Christmas gift for this year. If all goes well my daughter will be welcoming her newest addition to the family in Dec right around Christmas or New Years. My husband and I are on this journey together this time..

So far today was good. We went out to eat for lunch to one of our favorites spots. Instead of ordering a big meal with tons of carbs and calories, I ordered the plain cheeseburger and without the top. Still just a good and I do not feel like I missed the extra half of the bun. Still within my carbs. yay me

Just read your comments on an "exercise blog" for people with limited movement. I too get discouraged. Before I got sick( breast cancer that spread to my bones) I had an amazing social life and a fledgling business. Now I sit, and many days long for my old life. I was looking for a workout I could do and stumbled across your comment. Hang in there and remember those babies are there to encourage and motivate us. When I can't get down on the floor to play bye blades or hex bugs, I get discouraged too. But the boys cheer me on and often I end up being able to do more than I thought I could. Bet it will be the same for you!

    Hi!
I'm Twilightmom(Ann) from the I Miss My Mom team.
I'd like to welcome you here, and give you a little introduction. We are a group who have lost our moms and are working together to get through the pain so that our lives will be healthier. We have people in all stages of grief, some recent, some distant; some to acceptance, some still working on it. We encourage posting and blogging and talking about ourselves and our moms, and we give a listening, caring, nonjudgemental ear to all.
We're glad you decided to join us, and look forward to hearing from you on posts and messages. We love long posts!!
Don’t forget to add your birthday and special days to our Birthdays to Celebrate thread.
Why don't you start a thread introducing your self and your mom, it can be as long or as short as you'd like it to be!!
