Finding Health

I have spent a lot of time in my life being overweight, unhealthy, and as a result unhappy.

Being healthy is about doing things that are good for YOUR body. It's a learning process, and I'm still a student. At my highest, non-pregnancy weight, I was 220ish. I've never been afraid of exercise, but I didn't get nearly as much as I should for a long time. Now, as a pretty faithful runner, and licensed Zumba instructor, that part has changed.

Now, I'm trying my best to eat right for MY body (grain and gluten free) and reach a place where I feel fit, healthy & happy! It's within reach, and I hope to continue educating myself so I can make the most of living!

Never lose sight of what it took to get me to goal, and work on continually making good health decisions.

My Program:
~Teach zumba 4-6x week

~Limit gluten, starches & sugar

~Limit processed foods in favor of lean protein, fruits & veggies

~Keep running, working up to possibly a half marathon on 5/20/12

Personal Information:
~I'm a 38 year old working mom. (geez, where has time gone?)

~To keep my sanity, I read whenever I can-and enjoy being creative.

Wow! I love your Spark profile page! The colors are amazing, and I have a feeling you are a pretty amazing person too. Your profile sounds like mine, with your weight being less that my heaviest though. I just want to congratulate you on almost achieving your weight loss goal, and think it's great you are a Zumba instructor. I am planning on joining Golds this Sunday so I can LEARN Zumba. I am excited because I think it looks like a fun thing to do and I need more fun exercise to keep me motivated. I used to be on a swim team but when I swim laps, although I enjoy it, it is not as much fun as I think Zumba will be. Thanks for inspiring me! Yours truly, Carla Jean emoticon
