Started using this site after news article I saw Apr 08. First just went on to get recipes and then decided to see what else there was on the site. I've learned alot from the articles, I know more about food than I ever did. I gave up smoking in Sep 07 after about 20 years and put on a few more pounds and then decided enough was enough.

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. unknown

June 08 - half way to intermediate goal of losing 60lbs.

July 08 - changed goal to 70lbs. Had first setback on first vacation gained 2 lbs.

July 08 - I've lost the two I gained on vacation earlier this month and an additional lb. Need to work harder for vacation in Sep.

Aug 08 - lost a few more lbs - still working on goal for Sep vacation, have some new clothes I want to get into by then.

Sep 08 - lost a few more lbs, not quite where I wanted to be by Sep, but I'm still going on vacation.

Oct 08 - vacation was great, but now I'm on a pleateau, got to get the scales moving down.

Nov 08 - the holidays are recking havic on going down on the scales.

Dec 08 - Gained 10 lb over the holiday - just another excuse I need to avoid in 2009!

Jan 09 - after the blood sweat and tears of New You Bootcamp, lost 3 lbs and average 2-3 inches all the way around.

Mar 09 - had one of the best birthday's ever - but gained 3 lbs!

Apr 09 - have not been paying attention, gained back some!

May 09 - took measurements for swimsuit bootcamp and April was a bad month!

Jun 09 - lost brother in law then a week later lost Aunt, derail me a little but working on a come back!

Aug 09 - have a tumor in my heart, no cardio until it's removed!

Sep 09 - tumor removed.

Oct - Dec 09 - recovery is going very well, back to work full time and had a wonderful Christmas!

May 2010- Took the trip to SD that I had planned before the tumor, it was great.

July 2010- Trip to MI was awesome, major swelling in legs, new development, but guess part of getting older, but it beats the alternative!

    Thank you for stopping by to read and comment on my blog, Loving Yourself: Two Exercises to End a Negative Thought. I do hope that you tried one of these exercises, and found some good insight, and maybe were able to get rid of the negative thought that you chose to use for practice.

    One reader commented, "Both of these are so powerful. It creates a positive force within you. Literally gives a voice to the positive aura you are initiating by rejecting a negative idea!"

    Another said, "I've found that if I am alone, in the house or in the car, I can catch negative thoughts and shout out "No" or "Stop It" and that it helps a lot.

    Always remember that your thoughts, and the things you say about yourself affect you and control what you believe, and how you behave.
