My Homepage for weightloss
I work the 11p-7:30am shift at the hospital here on our Telemetry floor (Cardiac) in the Nursing field as a Patient Care Tech. Since moving up here to Albany, NY in 2007 I have fallen twice on the ice giving me a minor hair line fracture in both my feet-something to deal with on a daily basis. So, I have to work around that. Since moving up here to Albany, NY in 2007 I have fallen twice on the ice giving me a minor hair line fracture in both my feet-something to deal with on a daily basis. So, I have to work around that. I had Lap Gastric Bypass Surgery via DaVinci on December 17th, 2012 and when I left the hospital I was no longer on my diabetic meds. I have lost 65 pounds since the surgery and still going. Still getting used to my little pouch's ways. My husband had heart surgery last September and is doing well. But, has to deal with the way his Cardiac Meds make him feel on a daily basis. But, all in all he is alot better.

My Goals:
I had my RNY on Dec 17th, 2012 and I am currently getting used to my new pouch. Currently a meal consists of only 6-8 tablespoons of what protein I can eat at the time. I am currently on a soft diet. I am taking it a bit at a time. 3 meals a day, plus 2 protein shakes and plenty of fluids. I am told that later on out I will be able to get 3-4 ounces per meal. But, I am not in a hurry. My pouch lets me know when to stop and what it likes to eat and what it doesn't. I am no longer on Diabetic Meds. Still can't have veggies yet and I love veggies.
My Program:
The Cats 5% Spring into Summer 2013 challenge. -I will exercise for at least 10 minutes daily for the 56 days of the challenge. I will still be following my special diet plan from my Gastric Bypass surgery. On my Team page I will record my daily exercise and living the good life points. On Saturdays I will weigh in and record it. I will check in with my team daily and comment on the discussion board. I work the night shift and sleep daytime-so I will read and comment on blogs as I have the time.
Personal Information:
Well, still here in Upper NY State area. Will try to leave again next spring-hopefully the economy will be a bit better and the availability of jobs will be there.
Other Information:
I work night shift so I sleep during the daytime and my "inner time clock" so to speak is upside down. -couple that with a hairline fracture on both my feet. These are just two of the things I need to deal with on a day to day basis.
