Thanks for the comment on my blog. It really bothers me everytime my work wants to reward us they give us food. I have expressed my displeasure but my immediate bosses don't really have a say in it. I have asked that next time may I have a starbucks card instead because I never eat the stuff they bring in anyway!!! It may still be food related but this way I at least have a choice!

I wouldn't normally approach someone about this but unsure where to look next so here goes. I don't know if it is something you would be interested in but I am on the lookout for a hiking buddy. I have very little experience but love being outdoors. Went on the guided Avalanche Lake hike this summer and loved it. Figure I can endure about a 5 mile hike if that gives you any idea of where I am. I haven't gone hiking as much as I would have liked this summer because I don't want to go by myself of course. I don't know the area very well either and have no dog. I have bear spray :) Let me know. I may have some free time this fall when school starts. We could even meet and see if it would work out?

I'm working on my friends as we speak. Seeing what I can do about a little late summer/early fall trip out your way.

P.S. - I love my tent. Where do you find this stuff? :) I was trying to find crampons or an ice ax for you the other day but (ha, ha) no luck.
