Welcome to Calamity's spark page! Honestly, most of my life I was relatively thin even after having 3 children. Then I went through some tough times (who hasn't?) and ended up 40 pounds overweight after menopause. Ugh. On top of that I work for my youngest son and spend anywhere from 8 to 9 hours a day sitting at a desk. That is never good for weight loss. So, during the holidays I felt really terrible. Turns out my cholesterol is quite high and I'm on the road to high blood pressure. ...
Welcome to Calamity's spark page! Honestly, most of my life I was relatively thin even after having 3 children. Then I went through some tough times (who hasn't?) and ended up 40 pounds overweight after menopause. Ugh. On top of that I work for my youngest son and spend anywhere from 8 to 9 hours a day sitting at a desk. That is never good for weight loss. So, during the holidays I felt really terrible. Turns out my cholesterol is quite high and I'm on the road to high blood pressure. Not good. My New Year's resolution is to get healthy and lose weight. As I start this page (2/19/12) I have lost 9 lbs. since the beginning of the year. Not a great start but at least a start. I'm logging calories and exercising 50 - 60 minutes a day. I know I can do this especially with God's help! Update - It's May 14th, 2012 and my cholesterol is way down as is my blood pressure. Thank be to God and SparkPeople!
