My Goals:
Would like to get stronger, or at least not lose strength as I age (getting into senior years) and I would like to lose the 10-15 pounds I've added since going through menopause. Also want to do 100 pushups!

My Program:
I'm trying to do strength training three days a week and to do cardio four to five days a week. I'm also trying to stay with a reasonable amount of calories each day - something I've never had to be concerned with before.

Thanks for your encouraging comments and stopping by. How have you been doing? Have you been running. On FB I saw that there will be a race coming to the Raleigh area called the Electric Run. Looks fun.. Do you know anything about this one? I am no where ready to start running races, barely running right now. Now that the weather is getting a little nicer, I am going to try to get out and hit the trails. I signed up for a race next year in Safety Harbor FL. My home town. Great excuse to visit and see my running buds. Still working out with Gilad. I joined his 60 day challenge and wow, do I feel the burn. Take care, I hope we will get to connect one day. Hopefully at a race..

Sharon

Thanks Liz! It's very sad, but she found peace eventually and was able to let go. I have no particular religious beliefs, but i like to think she's up there somewhere having a laugh and a gin and tonic with her husband and my parents, and others.

Sorry i didn't get back sooner. thanks for the suggestions. the holly looks lovely. i think the loropetalum will be too big for my little corner. it gets quite wide doesn't it? i didn't find steadmans on google. do you have their Latin name? i have French google, and didn't go on to the .com version. Should have of course.

are you a nurserywoman yourself? it's one job i really would have loved. i'd love to get some translation work in that field, but there doesn't seem to be much opportunity here.

I'm just back from more digging in partner's garden. we also sowed some veg seed, so if it all comes up we'll be ok for the summer.

have a great weekend! you must be really looking forward to it!

Ha ha, thanks! Actually there is one piece of advice i'd like: my garden is really minute, as in about 80 sq m. And there's a strip along the side of the house (no windows that side) with a public path on the other side. I'll be planting my fruit bushes along the house, but there is one corner that is just by some steps, where kids like to hang out so obviously i don't want to put my berries there. I need something fairly tall, but not too tall, preferably ornamental, that won't get too bushy and stick out over the path but that will give me some privacy. On the other side of the end fence is a leylandii (yuck!) and a bay tree which take up quite a bit of light. My garden gets the morning sun. Has to be frost resistant and like clay soil. Any ideas?

What have you got in your garden then?
