Northern Minnesota Mom
I am a 50-year old single mother of two sons, working in a research and outreach center. I joined SP in May of 2009 and it is the best thing I have done for myself in a long time.
When I left my marriage (November, 2008) I was overweight, depressed and had very little self-esteem. Today I am down to a size 16 (started out a 22-24), am no longer depressed and my self-esteem grows every day. I have my bad days but SP has taught me how to deal with the ups and downs without falling ...

Today I am down to a size 16 (started out a 22-24), am no longer depressed and my self-esteem grows every day. I have my bad days but SP has taught me how to deal with the ups and downs without falling back into unhealthy habits; and my Spark Friends support and motivate throughout each and every day. I believe that I will reach my weight loss and life goals by using the tools I've learned; and as long as SP is here, I will be here too.
SP, its staff and its members are nothing short of a miracle in my life.

I live in a small town in northern Minnesota with my two sons - one in senior high and one in his third year of college.
