BTW, "Boppy" is what my Grandson started calling me when he was 2 years old. He's now 12. He dubbed, my wife, Beth, "Mimi", about the same time. He still calls us by these names, today. And, so we shall both be known by the family ...

I had reached a goal weight of 180, had a succession of surgeries (shoulder/arm, abdominal wall, back), started weight lifting again, raised my goal weight to 185. Then I had new problems with my other shoulder/arm, and back, and had to stop weight lifting and some other exercises. I've lowered my goal weight again to 180, and am adjusting to the new required caorie budget reduction -- especially sinve much exercise is off the table, again.

My Goals:
Stay at my goal weight for the rest of my life.

My Program:
* Exercise every day (that I can)
* Eat high produce, high protein, low saturated fat, low processed grain diet.
* Track my food, weight, and exercise daily
* Plan my meals, exercise and program, as needed

Personal Information:
I'm originally from Chicago, have lived much of my life in the West (CO, CA), went to college and graduate school in, respectively IA and OH, and now have lived the last 26 years in New Hampshire.

Other Information:
I'm a fan of nonfiction: history, including anthropological, science and technology, as well as mystery and spy novels.

My favorite nonfiction books are:

On the fiction side, I've read everything that Robert B. Parker, and John Grisham have written, along with many books by Ludlum, Cornwell, Clancy, Silva, and DeMille.

Thanks for the Goodie! Doing my best to get in the exercise. I will be seeing a pain management specialist in a couple of weeks and, hopefully, will get the go ahead to do more than stretches in addition to mowing, cleaning, gardening and all that good stuff.

I don't always comment on your blogs, but sure do enjoy them! Thanks for some giggles, some food for thought and lots of inspiration!

Thank you for the Goodie Boppy. You are an angel of the universe. You are the first that has told me to get back to work although you didn't know I wasn't exercising. The second angel came in the form of a Youtube video that teaches one arm practice for Poi Dancing. I had injured my right rotator cuff.

So, thank you Boppy_ emoticon angel.
